CDS Boston Centre
2016 Summer Series
Wednesday English Dance Program

Mark your calendars for dancing Wednesday evenings, starting on July 5th and finishing on August 23rd, from 7:30 - 10:30 p.m.  with our ice cream socials, every week. All dances are party dances (all dances are walked through), and we have an exciting lineup of callers and musicians.

Also back this year is English Dance Basics, starting at 7:10pm.

The 2017 summer dances will be held at the air-conditioned First Unitarian Society of Newton, 1326 Washington Street, West Newton, MA. It is the striking stone church in West Newton center, right at exit 16 off the Pike, located just a short walk from the West Newton commuter rail station. There is parking on nearby streets and in parking lots nearby. The hall itself is lovely, with a great wood dance floor, wood panelling and beams, and best of all - it's air conditioned!

Directions to the church (pdf file) and a map of the area including parking lots (pdf file). Parking: The bank lot is available, but not in the ATM or handicapped spots. Highland St beside the church is now limited; the other side of the bridge on the opposite side is available, as is Inis Circle partway up the hill. MBTA lots and municipal lots are also available, as well as the Newton Community Service Center (NCSC) lot on Waltham Street, just a short walk from FUSN behind the CVS parking lot, and can be used on Wednesdays after 6:30pm. For more details from the church about parking, see http://fusn.org/about-us/location/.

General admission is $9, CDS (and CDSS or affiliate) members are $7, students and newcomers are $4. Also available are 12-dance cards for $75, that are valid at all Wednesday dances for one year from the date of purchase and can be shared with friends and family. The suggested donation for ice cream is $2.

All dances are taught; no experience is necessary, nor do you need to come with a partner. If you have any questions, write to < info-english at cds-boston dot org >.
