Celebrate the 25th anniversary of ESS this summer. For your dancing pleasure, ESS presents three and a half exhilarating days of classes, workshops and parties featuring a unique and irresistible mix of dance and music from the English and Scottish traditions. We offer classes in English and Scottish country dance for newer and more experienced dancers, Longsword and Morris dance, Highland and Cape Breton Step, singing, a fiddle workshop, band class and, if the weather cooperates, our own ESS musical maypole.

Pinewoods Camp, in Plymouth, MA, nestles into a wooded area between Long Pond and Round Pond, both available for swimming. Classes are held in dance pavilions. The fantastic parties and delicious meals that are an ESS tradition take place in a camp house and dining hall at the edge of Long Pond. Housing is primarily in rustic cabins. Campers do simple chores, such as setting tables, to help keep costs down.
The cost: $325 for adult members of RSCDS and CDS Boston Centre, $340 for non-members. Ages 13-17 (must be accompanied by parent or guardian), $255 for members, $270 non-members. Some work exchange positions are available.
